The project

At the time of the project, the customer was using a rigid screw to convey its filler. He wanted to double or divert the material flow, which was recovered under a drum dryer.

The desired flexible screw had to fit into the drum dryer's feed duct, while allowing the rigid screw to continue to be fed, as and when required.

Secondly, the Customer wanted to improve conditions for its operators by installing a new transfer line for PEP (polymer-coated pigment), from a big-bag station to the top of a silo estimated at 25 meters above ground level.

What was the response?

Project 1 [ Filler ]

  • Distribution of a bucket conveyor with stitching on the side facade, approx. 6 m away
  • Flow rates from 1.3 to 3.3 m3/h and DA of 3 (heavy product)
  • Horizontal distance: 6 metres
  • Distance verticale < 1 mètre

> 6-metre Transitube T54 flexible screw, type 90

> GU-type chute, diameter 300mm with loading hinge to lighten the screw

> Low-level sensors (stop the screw in the absence of material + ATEX zone 2 requirement)

> High level sensor (run command)

Frequency inverter (adjust speed and customize block diagram)

Project 2 [ PEP, Polymer Coated Pigment - Iron Oxide ]

  • From a big-bag unloading station to an external silo in a safe area
  • Flow rate 3 m3/h
  • Horizontal distance: 25 metres
  • Vertical distance: 3 metres

> Transitube T12 type 90 flexible screw in relai

> 1000L cylindrical-conical hopper

The Transitube receiving hopper is connected under the big-bag station to receive, by gravity, the material in sufficient quantity before transferring it to the silo.

The distributor (under the hopper) and the elevator are made of abrasion-resistant polyamide tubes.
